At the heart of our program lies the mission to cultivate emerging leaders in bioinformatics and other health informatics domains. We’re seeking scientists actively engaged in clinical sciences, particularly within the public health sector, to join us as mentors. Ideal mentors are individuals driven by a passion for nurturing talent and fostering growth in these critical areas. Here’s what we’re looking for in our mentors
As a mentor, you should be currently engaged in projects that necessitate bioinformatics or advanced data analysis. These projects serve as the foundation for mentorship, providing real-world context and opportunities for learning.
Mentors should be able to dedicate approximately two hours per week to guide mentees through the intricacies of the project and help them understand the scientific concepts involved.
A genuine enthusiasm for developing individuals and imparting knowledge is essential. Mentors play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of leaders in bioinformatics and health informatics.
While we provide compensation to mentees, mentors who have funding available for their projects and are willing to support mentees financially are highly valued. Your support can greatly enhance the mentee’s learning experience and project outcomes.
